PIMS, FMDC Students Form Welfare Society To Help Deserving Patients

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th August, 2016) : Medical practitioners of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and final year medical students of Federal Medical and Dental College (FMDC) on Thursday formed a welfare society to help deserving patients. The society will serve with the name of "Kuch Acha" under the patronage of Prof Javed Akram while Dr Ali Jawa would not only the mentor of the students but President of the society while Dr Akhtar Bandesha and Dr Fareedullah have also joined hands. Addressing a press conference here at National Press Club, the organizers of the society said that the society will try to establish patients friendly atmosphere at the hospital and strengthen the doctors-patients friendly relationship.
They said the society will set up free medical camps in Rawalpindi and Islamabad and will provide volunteer services in disaster management during natural calamities. They said that the society has planned to provide free medicines and medical equipment to the deserving patients at PIMS.
