Pakistan Post, NAB Organize Workshop For Awareness Against Corruption

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th August, 2016) : Pakistan Post and National Accountability Bureau (NAB) conducted a joint awareness workshop on awareness and prevention initiatives of NAB with special focus on "say no to Corruption" campaign.
The workshop organized at auditorium of ECO Postal staff college Islamabad here on Thursday and attended by 60 postal officers from BPS 16 to 22. It also included female officers and probationary officers of postal group from civil services of Pakistan.
The audience also included three foreign postal managers from ECO countries of Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. The Chairman / Director General of Pakistan Post Fakir Shaharyaruddin in his opening remarks emphasized the need of change of mindset in the society at childhood, school, college and university level.
He emphasized the need of training from home to education by family and teachers to inbuilt the awareness of saying 'No to Corruption' at all levels. He also committed to print the slogan of 'Say No to Corruption' on all local and international mails. Aliya Rashid, Director General NAB in her presentation highlighted the need on awareness and prevention of corruption with special emphasis on importance of saying no to corruption.
She highlighted the role of mothers, wives and females in motivating to corrupt male members of the family and society to say no to corruption. She also highlighted initiatives taken by NAB to create awareness amongst the general public through seminars, talks, books and advertisements. Pakistan is the leading country to adopt 'Say No to Corruption' logo on postal stamp, utility bills, CNIC carrier papers, driving licenses, ATM Machines, Railway Tickets, Airport Screens and newspapers of Baluchistan and Gilgit-Baltistan etc.
A story book and coloring book have also been printed for children, she added. She also suggested and shared a road map for Pakistan post in helping eradication of corruption through various steps.
The awareness workshop ended with the resolve and commitment by all officers of Pakistan Post that they will work together as a team to eradicate the evil of corruption from Pakistan and make it a corruption free society for the generations to come.
