164 Arrested In Crackdown Against Profiteers

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th August, 2016) : District administration arrested 164 persons in crackdown against profiteers and also arrested the owners of four medical laboratories for lacking qualified staff in different parts of the district. On the directives of Deputy Commissioner (DC), Peshawar, Riaz Khan Mehsud, the Additional Assistant Commissioner (AAC), Bashir Ahmad inspected medical laboratories established in Rahim Medical Centre, G.T.
Road and after expressing anguish over the presence of non-qualified staff arrested the owners of four laboratories. Similarly, AACs Abdul Nabi and Syed Shah Zeb conducted raids in Pakha Ghulam, Dalazak Road, Gulabad and Faqirabad and arrested 28 profiteers while AAC Ahmad Kamal nabbed 18 profiteers from Badhber.
Lady AAC Fazilat Jehan conducted raids in different markets of Hayatabad and arrested 22 persons while AAC Mahmood Ahmad conducted raids in Gulbahar and arrested 16 profiteers. AAC Imran Khan conducted raids against profiteers in board Bazaar and University Town and arrested 35 profiteers while AAC Mir Khawas Khan Wazir arrested 18 persons from areas adjacent to Ring Road while Sohail Aziz arrested 23 from Pishtakhara.
