Projects Directly Benefiting People Should Be Given Priority: Ebad

KARACHI, (Pakistan Point News - 3rd August, 2016) : Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan has said that the government departments should give priority to those development projects that directly benefit the masses. He was talking to Director General Audit Sindh, Azhar Hameed, who called on him at the Governor House here on Wednesday. The Governor was of the view that prompt and transparent release of funds was essential so that the basic facilities to made available to the people at their doorsteps. He said that the Audit Department should see that release of funds towards the final months of the fiscal year and their swift utilization during this period should be free from any sort of irregularities. Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan said that development funds are the trust (Amanat) of the people and these should be protected as such.
