PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd August, 2016) : The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on Wednesday unanimously adopted a resolution urging the Federal Government to resolve the problems of Pakistanis with Saudi companies and the issue of Saudi 'Kafils' (sponsors) diplomatically. The resolution moved by Sahibzada Sanaullah of Pakistan Peoples Party and signed by leaders of political parties noted that 2.5 million Pakistanis are living and working in Saudi Arabia and send huge foreign remittances to Pakistan annually despite facing many facing difficulties there. It said the Saudi companies and 'Kafils' do not pay salaries to Pakistani labourers on time due to which they are living in miserable conditions.

It noted that many of the Pakistanis living in Saudi Arabia are not given permission to perform Hajj.

Some 168,000 have been black-listed for five years despite having legal visa permits, it added. The resolution urged the Federal Government to increase the counters from two to five to cater the needs of Pakistanis labours in Saudi Arabia. The government should bound the staff of Pakistan Embassy in Saudi Arabia to timely provide legal cover and take steps by using diplomatic channels for the release of Pakistanis languishing in Saudi jails over petty issues, it added.
