KP Assembly Condemns Killing Of Inspector IB Usman Gul Afridi

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd August, 2016) : The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Wednesday condemned killing of Inspector of Intelligence Bureau (IB) Usman Gul Afridi along with a teenager boy Iftikhar three-day ago and demanded the government to play role in arrest of the culprits and elimination of target killing in the city. MPA Mufti Fazal Ghafoor of JUI-F, on a point of order raised the issue that 10 government officers had been killed in target killing in Yaka Toot area in one year but the police were not serious in investigation and to arrest the culprits. Speaking on the occasion Parliamentary Leader of PML-N Sardar Aurengzeb Nalota said that 10 government officers were killed on duty.
He said that SHO Yaka Toot police station was performing his duty in the said police station from last three years but he did not investigate any case. He said that the SHO was ineligible for this post.
Later, Minister for Mineral Development and Natural Resources, Anisa Zeb Tahirkheli said that Thursday (August 4) would be observed as martyred day and tributes to be paid to police and other officers who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
