LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd August, 2016) : The Punjab education Foundation (PEF) would devise comprehensive policy mechanism to deal with upgradation of partner schools in accordance with respective program's policies, so that the students could continue their free studies in higher grades. PEF MD Tariq Mahmood said this while presiding over weekly coordination meeting at his office on Wednesday.
Deputy MD (Operations), program directors and other officials attended the meeting. The meeting reviewed pace of progress on free educational programmes. The PEF MD said that a comprehensive monitoring mechanism would be devised to ensure that the annually held quality assurance tests (QATs) are held in most transparent manner.
It is good to note that QATs promote positive approach of competition among the partner schools to show best results for emerging as symbols of excellence in academics. He directed the partner schools to ensure that their students' record is updated regularly and all PEF policies are fully followed.
As holding of `summer school' during summer holidays is not allowed under the provincial government policy, the PEF reserves the right to initiate action in case of any violation, he added. Different program directors briefed the meeting about pace of progress of their programmes.
