Edhi Foundation Provides Free Treatment To 9,863 Patients

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd August, 2016) : The Edhi Foundation Lahore provided free treatment facilities and medicines to 9,863 patients at its dispensary, situated in Allama Iqbal Town during the last month. The foundation admitted 324 persons including women and children to Edhi Home Gulberg and Bilquess Edhi Home Township.
Out of which 210 were sent to their homes after searching their home addresses, a spokesman said on Wednesday.
The foundation shifted 72 killed persons and 183 injured persons to their homes from hospitals during different accidents.
The volunteers of Edhi Foundation had provided their services in shifting 1,283 bodies and 5,196 patients to hospitals from houses and houses from hospitals. The foundation buried 25 unclaimed bodies in Miani Sahib graveyard, the spokesman added. The foundation had provided free lunger (free meals) to 13,000 persons under Edhi Free Lunger.
