PAL To Organize 'Azadi Mushaira' On Aug 12

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd August, 2016) : Pakistan academy of Letters (PAL) will organize 'Azadi Mushaira' on August 12 in connection with Independence Day celebrations. PAL Chairman Prof.
Dr. Muhammad Qasim Bughio told APP on Wednesday that a lecture would also be arranged to highlight the sacrifices rendered by our elders for the independence of the country. He said that lecture would be given on the `Role of writers in Independence of Pakistan' and discussion on `Role of writers in the progress of Pakistan'. Prof.
Dr. Qasim said that Academy is making efforts to encourage young writers and scholars, adding that youth can play a vital role in the progress and prosperity of the country.
He said that the young writers and poets would be invited in Azadi Mushaira.
He said that the literary personalities have also played very important role in the creation of Pakistan, adding that their services would be remembered for long. He said that PAL would also arranged training workshops, starting from August 10.
He said that workshops would be organized on various topics including fiction writing, literary lessons for children, tv drama writing, poetry programme. In the `Azadi Mushaira' poets of different languages including urdu, Saraiki, Pushto, Sindhi, Balochi, Hindko would participate from across the country."
