DC Calls For Awarness Against Fatal Diseases Including HIV-AIDS

NOUSHAHRO FEROZE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd August, 2016) : HIV is a dangerous and non curable disease but prevention could save from this disease. This was stated by Deputy Commissioner/Chairman of District AIDS Task Force Committee Dr Wasim Ali while addressing a meeting here on Wednesday. He said that AIDS, is a fatal and life-threatening disease and there is need to raise awareness among the people for prevention from it. He said many cases of serious deadly diseases were reported from the district Noushahro Feroze and emphasised the need to make special arrangements for the treatment of patient suffering chronic diseases. He also said that patient suffering from Hepatitis B, C and TB must carry out tests of HIV screening as a precaution.
He also directed the concerned officials to conduct Hepatitis and AIDS tests of jail inmates in District prison. Additional deputy commissioner II Jamaluldin Mahar, DHO Abdul Wahab Wadho, Superintendent district Jail Syed Munawar Shah and others attended the meeting. Earlier Deputy Commissioner also presided the meeting regarding the immunization campaign in the district. The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officials to ensure vaccination of all children and pregnant women in the district and submit the monthly performance report of the health workers, community health worker and children vaccinated to the Deputy Commissioner Office so that the performance of these institutions can be monitor.
