ISLAMABAD, (Pakistan Point News - 3rd August, 2016) : Met Office forecast monsoon rains at scattered places of southern and some central parts of the country during next 2-3 days. Spokesman of Met-Office informed APP that monsoon currents have started to penetrate in southern parts of the country that will produce rain/thunderstorm at scattered places of Sindh, Southern Punjab, Lower Khaber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and few parts of Balochistan from Thursday to Saturday.
The Wet spell is likely in Punjab at D.G. Khan, Multan and Bahawalpur divisions, in Lower KP at D. I. Khan and Bannu divisions and parts of Balochistan at Zhob, Sibbi, Naseerabad and Kalat divisions. Intermittent rain is also expected in Karachi during next three days, he said. Isolated heavy falls may also occur in Sindh, South Punjab, Lower KP and Balochistan during next 2-3 days that may generate flash flooding in the vulnerable Nullahs and streams, he informed.
