PM Assures AJK Govt. Of Every Assistance

ISLAMABAD,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Augst,2016) : Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Wednesday said that the Federal Government would ensure all possible assistance to the elected government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K) in its pursuit to improve the state of affairs.
Prime Minister was talking to AJ&K Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider who called on him here at the PM House. Congratulating Raja Farooq Haider on his election as the Prime Minister AJ&K, he expressed the confidence that the newly elected government would tirelessly work for the progress and prosperity of the people of AJ&K.
"The people have overwhelmingly shown their trust in our manifesto and now it is our collective responsibility to serve them. Developmental and infrastructure projects must be proactively pursued and completed so that the people of AJK get the benefits of our developmental agenda", a press release quoted the Prime Minister as saying. Prime Minister Sharif said that merit and transparency must be maintained in the award and fulfillment of all public sector projects.
All developmental projects must aim at improving the life standard of the people. Better communication and roads networks would certainly open up the most beautiful areas of AJK to the world and enhance the economic activities in that region, he added. The Prime Minister said "We are enormously grateful to the people for their confidence, it is now our responsibility to perform and deliver." Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid and Special Assistant to PM Dr Asif Kirmani were also present during the meeting.
Thanking the Prime Minister, Raja Farooq Haider assured that the newly elected government of AJ&K would initiate all necessary steps to implement the leadership's vision in true letter and spirit. He said the elected government would serve the people without considering their political affiliations as the government has the mandate for the entire AJ&K.
