NA To Start Debate On Presidential Address From Aug. 8

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Augst,2016) : The National Assembly will start debate on the Presidential Address to the Joint Sitting from August 8 (Monday). Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Shaikh Aftab Ahmed moved the motion that read: "This House expresses its deep gratitude to the President of Pakistan for his address to both Houses assembled together on 1st June 2016". He apprised the House that Leader of the Opposition Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah would initiate debate on the motion on Monday as he was not available due to illness of his wife. Meanwhile, the House also adopted a motion that the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council Bill-2016 as passed by the National Assembly and not passed by the Senate within 90 days, be referred to the Joint Sitting for consideration and passage.
The motion was moved by State Minister for National Health Services Saira Afzal Tarar in the House under sub-rule (7) of Rule 154 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of business in the National Assembly, 2007. Moreover, three periodical reports of the standing committees on Railways, Science and Technology and Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resources for the period of July-December 2015 were presented in the House.
