ISLAMABAD,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Augst,2016) : All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) on Wednesday organized a rally in Federal Capital to protest against Indian atrocities in Held Kashmir and also upon arrival of Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh. Indian Home Minister is coming to Islamabad to attend South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) meeting of Interior/Home Minister on Wednesday.
The rally was started from Faizabad area in Rawalpindi. During the rally, the protestors called on world community and particularly the permanent five members of the UN Security Council to take note of aggravating human rights situation and get the UN resolutions on Kashmir implemented. The participants, holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans against Indian atrocities, called on India to respect human rights of the people of Occupied Kashmir. The protesters said it was the silence of the international community that had been encouraging India to go ahead with its killing spree in the held territory.
More than 60 people have been killed and up to 6,000 wounded since protests erupted in Indian-occupied Kashmir after security forces killed prominent freedom fighter Burhan Wani last month. Wani, 22, was a commander of Hizbul Mujahideen.
Hundreds of APHC activists blocked Islamabad Expressway for almost three hours in protest against killings of Kashmiri people in occupied Kashmir. Later, protesters dispersed peacefully.
Meanwhile, different political parties and children held protest against barbarism of Indian forces at Muzafarabad Azadi Chowk on Wednesday. They were demanding that international community should play its role and take action against the violence on children in Occupied Kashmir.
