LAHORE,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Augst,2016) - Awami Muslim League (AML) Chief and MNA Sheikh Rashid lives in a fool's paradise if he thinks he could wield power from some sources other than the masses, said PML-N Lahore President MNA Pervez Malik. While talking to APP here on Wednesday, Pervez Malik rejected Sheikh Rashid Ahmed's claims of an imminent military intervention, adding that the opposition must wait for the next general election 2018. Responding to a query, the PML-N legislator said Rashid should be ashamed of his mindset and vested interests due to which he sought intervention by the third power, adding that PML-N was not afraid of such negative propaganda.
Malik said that Sheikh Rashid and the opposition should desist from seeking power through undemocratic sources, adding that the overwhelming majority of PML-N in the recently held Azad Kashmir elections proved popularity of PML-N.
He said the masses would foil Sheikh Rashid's evil intentions of seeking power through undemocratic methods. Pervez Malik said the PML-N leadership was focussing its energies on ushering in an era of prosperity and development through public welfare projects in the country, adding that the masses were satisfied with the PML-N government's performance.
He said the AML chief was baffled by the popularity of PML-N government led by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, adding that all conspiracies by the opposition would fizzle out. He urged Sheikh Rashid to give up politics of sensationalism and agitation for the sake of the political stability and economic progress of the country.
