Food Items Distributed Among Families Of Martyred, Injured Police Personnel

ISLAMABAD,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Augst,2016) : Food packages have been distributed among 106 families of those police personnel who either laid down their lives in the line of the duty or got injured. Regional police officer Sher Akbar distributed food packages comprising 5kg sugar, 5kg rice and halwa among the families of the personnel, reported private news channel.

According to officials, these food packages would be dispatched on the doorstep of those living in far flung areas. "On August 4, we observe Shuhuda day and for this purpose, we undertake different activities during the week.

Special prayers are held in mosques. Police officers and other personnel will also donate blood during the week. The mega event will be held in Peshawar," officer informed. Later, the officials laid floral wrath on Shuhuda monument and offered prayer for the souls of martyred police personnel.
