Hong Kong Stocks Sharply Lower At Break

HONG KONG, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Augst,2016) - Hong Kong shares plunged in the morning session Wednesday, tracking losses across global markets while dealers were playing catch-up with the previous day's regional sell-off when the city's exchange was closed.
The Hang Seng Index sank 1.70 percent, or 377.13 points, to 21,752.01. But the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.27 percent, or 8.16 points, to 2,979.44 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, gained 0.45 percent, or 8.73 points, to 1,935.42.
