PEF DCM Reviews Education Promotion

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd August, 2016) : Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has laid the foundation of a just society by ensuring that every deserving child has equitable access to free schooling facilities.
PEF Chairman Qamar ul islam Raja said this while addressing the 3rd district coordination meeting at Iqbal Auditorium, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad on Tuesday. According to PEF spokesman, 550 school partners from T.T. Singh, Chiniot, Faisalabad and Jhang attended the meeting.
He said that education was the key to success in the 21st century and quality schooling would catalyze to promote knowledge-based economy. This will help the educated youth to prosper through education, he added. Raja said that PEF had entered into partnership with thousands of private schools to help provide free education to the disfranchised segment at their doorsteps.
He added that a centralized complaint cell had been established at the head office and different I.T. based steps have also been taken to make our public private partnership more efficient, transparent and result-oriented. PEF MD Tariq Mahmood said that school leadership programme and teacher development programme have been launched for professional development of teachers and head teachers.
The partner schools are mapped through geographical information system to identify new areas for education-promotion where schools' infrastructure is insufficient to accommodate the disfranchised segments, he added.
