Mayor Karachi Distributes Cheques To Retired Employees

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 08th Mar, 2017 ) : Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar handed over cheques to retired employees of KMC and DMCs of their pensions and other dues in a ceremony held in KMC Building here on Wednesday.
Addressing the occasion, the Mayor said that the citizens have elected us through their votes therefore we will make all possible efforts to solve their day to day problems, said a statement. Deputy Mayor Dr.
Arshad Vohra, Municipal Commissioner Hanif Muhammad Mirchiwala, F.A Khalid Mehmood and other finance officers were also present on the occasion. Presenting cheques to the retired employees the Mayor Karachi said that he feels pleasure on giving dues to retired employees who served this organization for a long time and now need our support to get their dues after retirement.
He said the departments in KMC being over hauled now to make them fully operational. All attention was being paid to get the financial rights of KMC, he added. During the program more than 1100 retired employees of KMC and DMCs received their cheques worth Rs 620 million.
Mayor Karachi also thanked the finance department, Sajjan union and media for providing support in this connection.
