Restoration Of Peace In Pakistan A Positive Development: IR Expert

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Augst,2016) : IR Expert Dr. Amna Mehmood Tuesday said peace had been restored in Pakistan to a great extent which was a positive development. Talking to Radio Pakistan she said "national action plan has been implemented effectively throughout the country and we have been observing positive outcome of it".

She said that Pakistan was badly affected by terrorism. She mentioned that Prime Minister, Muhammed Nawaz Sharif had rightly said that terrorism was becoming a global issue and other countries should support Pakistan to wipe out the menace of terrorism from its roots.

A main reason of increasing terrorism in Pakistan is that "we have facilitated the Afghan refugees more than with our available resources", she added. Pakistan had now conveyed a clear message that it could not afford the burden of Afghan refugees anymore so deadline was given to them to leave the country, she concluded.
