Rain Likely In Most Parts Of Country: PMD

ISLAMABAD,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Augst,2016) Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Monday indicated chances of rain-thundershower for isolated places in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Mirpurkhas division, Islamabad, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. According to the synoptic situation, heat low was lying over north Balochistan and its adjoining area with its trough extending eastwards.

Weak to moderate monsoon currents were penetrating upper parts of the country.

A shallow westerly trough was located over Kashmir and its adjoining areas. The rainfall recorded during the last 24 hours was Punjab: Sahiwal 17mm, Toba Tek Singh 09 mm and Gujrat 01, FATA: Parachinar 05, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Balakot 02mm. The highest maximum temperatures recorded during the last 24 hours were Sibbi, Dadu 44 C, Dalbandin, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur, Turbat 43 C, Shaheed Benazirabad and Rohri 42 C.
