214 Accused Of Power Theft Apprehended In KP

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Augst,2016) : The PESCO surveillance teams tightening the noose against power pilferers on Monday arrested as many as 214 accused using electricity through illegal means across the province. PESCO spokesman said that PESCO teams nabbed 52 accused of power theft from Hangu sub division (Sub div) where most the commercial and industrial consumers including Golden Club, petrol Pumps, Bangesh Hotel, general stores, Bakeries, flour mills and crushing plants were using electricity illegally.
Similarly, five were arrested from Bakhshali Sub div, eight from Rustam Sub div, 35 from Gadon Sub div, eight from City two Sub div, six from Cantonment area and 100 from various sub divisions of Swat Circle. PESCO warns illegal consumers to remove their illegal connections otherwise strict legal action would be taken against them.
