PHA approves Rs 229.7 million budget for year 2016-17

SARGODHA,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Augst,2016) : The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has approved Rs 229.7 million budget for the year 2016-17, out of which Rs 50 million would be spent on development projects and Rs 70 million on salaries, operation and maintenance. This was disclosed in a meeting, chaired by Vice Chairman Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Dr Nadia Aziz.

All officials concerned including District Coordination Officer/ Director General (PHA) Danish Afzaal were present in the meeting. The meeting approved the renovation of Company Bagh and Mela Mandi ground at a cost of Rs 4 million, for which work has also been started.

The location of PHA office was also discussed in the meeting and Rs 20 million funds were allocated for the construction work.

Rs 0.15 million has been allocated for the Tahli Chowk, New Sattelite Town, and tender process has been completed. Eidgah would be renovated with Rs 0.22 million, the meeting was told. A total of 12 intersections in the city are being renovated, and work is underway at Toop Chowk, Quainchi Moor, Deputy Zafarullah Chowk, Commissioner House Chowk, DPO Office Chowk, Bismillah Chowk, Sattelite Town Chowk, Gill Wala and Jhal Chakian chowk.
