SIUT Launches 5-day Course In Urology

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Augst,2016) : A five-day specialized course concerning the field of Urology began at Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) here on Monday.
Some 28 specialists from all over the country are attending the course, which is organized in collaboration with international and local faculty, said a statement. Eminent urologist Professor Muhammad Shamim Khan of Guy's and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust of London is the course coordinator while Prof Asad Shahzad and Prof Rehan Mohsin of SIUT are the facilitators. Inaugurating the course the President of College of Physician and Surgeons Pakistan Professor Zafar Ullah Chaudhry lauded the efforts of SIUT in providing modern training skills to medical graduates.
He said such a training go a long way in improving the professional capacity of doctors. Earlier Director SIUT Professor Adib Rizvi in his welcome address highlighted the salient features of the course.
He informed that lectures, practical demonstration provided to course participants will prove useful for their post graduate examinations. Prof Rizvi highlighted the commitment of SIUT in capacity building of doctors in the field of urology and other related subjects.
