Religious Parties Of Balochistan Form Alliance "Imaam"

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st August, 2016) : Religious parties of Balochistan established an alliance namely Ittehad Millat Islamia Mahaz (Imaam) to work against religious sectarianism in the province.
Maulana Muhammad Khan Shirani belonging to Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) who is also Chairman of the Islamic Idealogical Council was named head of the newly formed alliance by the participating leaders of various religio-political parties.
Maulana Ali Muhammad Abu Turab has been appointed as General Secretary and Mualana Abdul Haque Hashmi as Senior Vice President of the alliance. Talking to journalists here on Monday, religious leaders who participated in the meeting said that it was need of hour to establish a platform so that all important religio-political parties in Balochistan could play their role against religious sectarianism. "All religious parties of Balochistan felt need for establishing an alliance to work against sectarianism and to promote religious harmony," said Maulana Shirani.
He further said that Imaam would also work as a platform where the religious leaders would submit their suggestions to resolve issues and problems being faced by the Muslim Ummah. "We will also review the issue of human rights at the platform of Imaam," he mentioned. He said that the current situation of Balochistan needed end to religious sectarianism and culture of hatred.
"After strengthening Imaam in Balochistan, we will also extend and make it functional at Federal level with taking our central leadership on board," the newly appointed chief of the alliance said. The Imaam is comprising of religious parties including Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F), Jamaat-e-Islami, Jamiat Ahl-Hadith and others.
