ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th july, 2016) : Advisor to the Prime Minister for National History and Literary Heritage Irfan Siddiqui Saturday said it would be a big achievement for the government to eliminate power loadshedding by 2018. The government had launched several power projects, which would help overcome the energy shortage after their timely completion, he said talking to ptv. He said the people had expressed full confidence in the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and voted for it in the 2013 general election and then in local government, bye-polls, Cantonment, Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir polls. Irfan Siddiqui said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had failed to deliver.
The party was only wasting its energy on 'road protests'.
Before last general election, PTI chief Imran Khan had claimed that he would field honest and competent candidates, but he failed to do so. To a question, he said the government was serious over the Terms of Reference for Panama papers investigation commission and that was why it had invited the opposition to finalize the same through talks.
Replying to a question, he said the process of electoral reforms would be completed in next two months. He said the curb should not be imposed on freedom of expression. "My fake column was published but I had given contradiction about it." To another query, he said the provincial governments should disclose its performance before public, adding the provinces had administrative and financial powers.
