ISLAMABAD, (Pakistan Point News - APP - 30th july, 2016) : A delegation of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) led by its President Atif Ikram Sheikh has visited Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC), Kamra to explore the role of private sector in the indigenous promotion of aviation industry. PAC board Chairman Air Marshal Arshad Malik briefed the delegation about the role of PAC in strengthening Pakistan armed forces by meeting their aviation needs, said a press release issued here Saturday.
He said Pakistan had achieved tremendous progress in indigenous production of aircraft and the country has great potential to promote exports of defence products. He encouraged the private sector to explore possibilities of collaboration in the aviation industry. A comprehensive presentation about the activities of PAC was given to the ICCI delegation, which was very informative as it indicated the potential areas of public-private partnership in the aviation sector.
The ICCI delegation visited various components of Pakistan Aeronautical Complex to see the possibilities of private sector collaboration in the various manufacturing activities. Speaking on the occasion, Atif Ikram Sheikh thanked the PAC Chairman and his team for according warm welcome and extending great hospitality to the ICCI delegation. He was very much optimistic that encouraging approach of the PAC Chairman and continuous interaction between the two organizations would be instrumental in carving out a way forward for the private sector in indigenous promotion of aviation industry.
