Karachi Operation To Continue Till Complete Peace: Rana Tanveer

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th july, 2016) : Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain has said the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) government was committed to completely eliminate terrorism from the country.
Karachi operation would continue till complete restoration of peace in the city but however, the peace had been improved there due to operation. It was launched with consensus of all political parties to purge the city from criminals, he said talking to a private news channel. The minister said it was imperative to further extend special power of Rangers in Karachi for indefinite period to complete eradicate target killers, terrorism and extortion.
Now, people of Karachi were living in a peaceful environment as compare to past, he added. The Minister said the peace has been restored in the country due to operation 'Zarb-e-Azb' launched in North Waziristan Agency (NWA) and due to that investors were showing keen interest in investment in Pakistan.
Replying to a question, he said Pakistan People's Party had appointed its new Chief Minister in Sindh through constitutional and democratic process to improve good governance in the province and termed it a democratic change within the party.
Rana Tanveer expressed satisfaction over newly appointment of Chief Minister and hoped that Murad Shah would work for the welfare of the province and masses. Murad Ali Shah already stated in his speech that he would give priority to maintain peace in Sindh, he added. He said Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) did not contest in Chief Minister's elections because it do not have majority in Sindh Assembly.
