Wapda Players In Command In Shuhada-e-Army All Pakistan Badminton

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd May, 2017 ) : Wapda players are in command on the third day of the ongoing Shuhada-e-Army All Pakistan Ranking Badminton Championship being played here at Peshawar Services Club on Monday.
In the Men and Women doubles Wapda players showed their excellent dominance against their respective rivals against fellow players from various teams. In the Men doubles Owias Zahid and Atiq beat Ali and Nouman in the marathon five sets battle, the score was 21=23, 19-21, 21-18, 23-21 and 21-18, Oan Abbas and Waqas beat Ahmad Tariq of SNGPL and Talha by 21-19, 23-21, 25-23, Zain and Arif beat Subhan and Shehzad by 3-0, the score was 21-19, 21-17 and 23-21, Anjum Shehzad and Shah Mir of ANGPL beat Azam and Yousaf Rehman by 3-0, the score was 21-19, 21-17 and 21-18, Waqas Zahid and Arif beat Rizwan and Tayyab Bashir by 3-1, the score was 23-21, 21-23, 21-19 and 21-15, Aamir Saeed and Kashif of Police beat Tahir and Masood, also from Police by 3-0, the score was 21-19, 21-18 and 21-17.
Raja Hassan and Umer Zeeshan beat Aamir Masood and Arsalan by 21-18, 21-19 and 21-15 while Wapda Ifran Saeed and Azeem Sarwar beat Tahir and Masood by 2-0. In the Ladies doubles Aniqa and Sadia beat Serat and Huma by 3-1 in a thrilling match witnessed by capacity crowd present on this occasion.
The two teams gave each other a tough fight with some beautiful forceful smashes and attacking services were also witnessed. Zobaia and Uroosa beat Shehnaz and Anila by 3-1, the score was 14-21, 21-16, 21-19 and 21-18, Robab and Hina beat Alia and HIna of KP in straight sets, the score was 21-19, 21-18 and 21-19, Humaira and Maryum of Wapda beat Arifa and Kainat of Pakistan Army by 3-0, the score was 21-17, 21-19 and 21-19 while Ghazala and Javeria of SNGPL beat Alia and Somia of KP by 21-17, 21-17 and 21-19.
