Sami Zaib Wins U-14 Final Of Gujrat National Tennis

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Feb, 2017 ) : Sami Zaib won the U-14 title of the first Gujrat Open National ranking tennis tournament with a simple 6-4,6-1 win over Hamid Israr in the final at Gujrat Gymkhana courts on Friday.

Sami demonstrated higher level tennis with agility and sprints up and down the court to outplay his defensive opponent in all departments of the game. Sami faced slight opposition in the opening part of the game but eventually got the control of play with his aggressive hitting and delightful serves.

Abu Bakar Talha scored straight set win over Ibrahim Najeeb 4-0,4-0 to win the final of U10. In the ladies singles Semi final Sara Mansoor beat Noor Malik 6-0, 6-0 with ease and comfort without dropping a point in both the sets.

Sara has a quick approach to grab points one after another with her smart placing of ball in far corners of the court and cutting down short lived rallies with aggressive shooting. Men's singles final will be played tomorrow, Saturday at 2 pm and the ladies singles final will take place at 11 am.
