Pak Cycling Team Leaves For Malaysia

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Feb, 2018 ) :National cycling squad left here on Wednesday for Malaysia to take part in the Asian track cycling championship being held Thursday (February 15) in Kuala Lumpur.
The party comprises four riders and three officials, said a spokesman of Pakistan Cycling Federation while talking to APP. The team comprises Zahid, Shakeel, Aizat ullah, and Abdul Basit . President, PCF, Khokab Nadeem Warrich , Secretary, PCF, Syed Azhar Ali Shah and Vice President, PCF , Nisar Ahmad are accompanying the team as officials.
"Altogether forty two Asian nations are taking part in the six day premier activity which will be challenging event for our riders ", said adding " Participation in such a high profile cycling activity will expose our riders to much needed exposure besides enhancing their confidence ", he said.
To a question he said Pak riders were imparted best possible training at a long duration camp which continued for two months under the watchful eyes of national coaches. He said talented riders will be representing the country in the Asian championship " We are confident that our cyclists will put up a decent show to live up to the expectations ", said the spokesman.
