Over 30 Int'l Skiers Arrive In Pakistan For Ski Races At Naltar

Over 30 international skiers on Thursday arrived in Pakistan to participate in different categories of international ski races being held at the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Ski Resort Naltar, Gilgit
ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jan, 2018 ) :Over 30 international skiers on Thursday arrived in Pakistan to participate in different categories of international ski races being held at the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Ski Resort Naltar, Gilgit.
It is a landmark event as 33 international skiers from various countries including Holland, Slovakia, Greece, China, Afghanistan, Turkey, Ukraine, France, Switzerland and Tajikistan will be racing in different categories of this thrilling sport, a statement issued here by media affairs directorate of PAF said.
Top national skiers from various regions and ski associations of the country would also showcase their talents in the races.
Competing in the International Ski Federation (FIS) races against the highly ranked skiers of the world would provide an excellent opportunity to Pakistani athletes to learn from their competitors and improve their standing in the world.
Meanwhile, the skiing season started at PAF ski resort Naltar with the commencement of Saadia Khan Ski Cup on Thursday. As many as 19 national female skiers participated in the first race on the snowy slope of Naltar in freezing temperatures.
