National Sports Competitions 2017 Continue In PU

The sports competitions of tug-of-war, volleyball, and squash were held between universities, colleges
LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Dec, 2017 ) :The sports competitions of tug-of-war, volleyball, and squash were held between universities, colleges and schools on the third day of the National Sports Competitions - 2017 at the Punjab University camps under the aegis of HEC, Punjab University and The Educationist.
In Tug-of-War contests, Punjab University beat University of Management and Technology (UMT) players and for third position Govt Gegree College Sarai Aalamghir defeated Islamia College Civil Lines.
In tug of war schools competitions, Govt Public High school No 2 Gujrat defeated WAPDA High School Shalamar in a very thrilling best of three competition. Squash league competitions remained very lively and in the final PU defeated GC University while UMT secured the third position.
Competitions of Volleyball was organised at PU sports Gymnasium and PU once again defeated UMT while for the third position Akhwan Science College Barki defeated Beaconhouse National University.
Tomorrow ( Thursday) competitions of football, cricket, hockey, rowing, Kabaddi (Universities category), swimming and athletics will be held. The competitions of Rowing will be held in canal waters instead of machines to ensure originality . These rowing competitions are being organised in collaboration with Lahore Canal Boat Club at 3:00pm near canal bridge, Punjab University.
