Annual Tent Pegging Festival Begins At Pakistan Sports Complex

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Feb, 2018 ) :Decorated with garlands and colourful bridles, turbaned riders mounted on horseback participated in the Annual Tent Pegging Festival which kicked off here at the Pakistan sports Complex (PSC) on Saturday.
Hundreds gather at the PSC ground to watch the festival organized by Al-Mehrban Tent Pegging club and Pakistan Sports board.
A total of 130 clubs including 700 horses from across Punjab are participating in the mega event.
The event was inaugurated by Ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination, secretary, Syed Abu Ahmad Akif. Talking to APP, Malik Faizan of Al-Khyam tent pegging club said each team comprises four horses.
"Our club is the defending champion of the festival which includes a trophy and cash for the top three positions," he said. food and water stalls were also installed at the venue in order to entertain the crowd.
