Abbas, M. Ammad Enter Into Abdul Sattar Edhi Memorial Junior Squash

PESHAWAR,(APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st july,2016) : Abbas Nawaz and Muhammad Ammad entered into the final after recording victories against their respective rivals in the semi-finals of the Abdul Sattar Edhi Memorial Junior Squash Championship being played here at PAF Hashim Khan Squash Complex on Thursday. Two young-gun Abbas Nawaz and Muhammad Ammad exhibited classic display which attracted large number of spectators.
Abbas Nawaz recorded victory against Ibrahim Mohib in straight sets the score was 12-10, 11-9 and 11-8. Abbas Nawaz although face little resistance, specially in the first set but overall Abbas Nawaz fully dominated the proceedings and marched into victory. In the second semi-final Muhammad Ammad outclassed Yaseen Khattak in straight sets, the score was 11-9, 11-8 and 11-5.
Muhammad Ammad, a current no. 1 at national level, did not take much time against Yaseen Khattak and moved into the final. In the Under-13 category Noor Zaman defeated Waleed Khalil in a tough battle, the score was 3-1.
Noor Zaman lost the first set to Waleed Khalil but later on he managed his position against Waleed Khalil and consecutive won the sets, the score was 10-12, 11-9, 12-10 and 11-7. Noor Zaman played well and despite conceding the opening set, played with determination by winning all three sets. In the second semi-final top seed Asad Ullah took no time against Fahad Sharif in straight sets, the score was 11-6, 11-8 and 11-9. In the Under-15 semi-final Ahmad Hassan beat Rashid Doulat by 3-0, the score was 11-8, 11-9 and 11-7 and Uzair Shoukat beat Hamza Sharif in a marathon 3-1 battle.
Uzair Shoukat won the first set by 12-10 but failed to click in the second won by Hamza Sharif at 7-11. After winning 1-1 both Uzair Shoukat and Hamza Sharif played very excellent game by exhibiting classic display. Uzair Shoukat did not look behind and marched into victory at 11-9 and 11-8
