Shinwari FC Of Jamrud Khyber Agency Win FATA Football Super League-2017

Shinwari FC of Jamrud Khyber Agency clinched the glittering trophy after defeating strong Khyber Eagle of Landikotal Tehsil Khyber Agency by 2-0 in a thrilling final of the FATA Football Super League-2017 played here at Qayyum Sports Complex on Wednesday
PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Oct, 2017 ) :Shinwari FC of Jamrud Khyber Agency clinched the glittering trophy after defeating strong Khyber Eagle of Landikotal Tehsil Khyber Agency by 2-0 in a thrilling final of the FATA Football Super League-2017 played here at Qayyum sports Complex on Wednesday.

2 Mohib Ullah Khan, Secretary General AIPs Asia Amjad Aziz Malik, Vice President Cantonment board Peshawar Malik Waris, Elders from the tribal areas, Director PSB Coaching Center Peshawar Sports Mumtaz Ahmad Nadeem, and large number of spectators were also present on this occasion.
Before the start of the final match the players of both Shinwari FC Jamrud and Khyber Eagle. Organizing Secretary Shahid Khan Shinwari, former Pakistan teams skippers Basit Kamal, Faisal Khan, Haji Hidayat Ullah Khan, were also present.
The final match was started on fast tempo and in the very first match Shinwari FC Jamrud Khyber Agency took the lead through unmarked Riaz Ahmad on the field attempt. It was through ball given by team skipper Atiq Shinwari to Riaz Ahmad who did nothing wrong in dispatching it into the goal-post to make the tally 1-0.
After taking lead The front line of Shiwnari Fc comprising Awais, Atiq, Izhar, Riaz, Yasir and Rasool played well and put in more pressure to double the lead but they were failed due to spectacular goal-keeping by Khyber Eagle goal-keeper Ghazanfar in the first session.
On the other hand Khyber Eagle strikers Mansoor, Muhammad Mujahid, Samad Khan, Sohail Khan, Irfan played well and made some good attacking moves as a result they got four easy goal-scoring chances but failed to utilize any of them.
In the dying moments of the first session it was Shinwari FC Jamrud Khyber Agency which doubled the lead through penalty kick conversion when Alamgir netted a fine goal to make the tally 2-0. Yasir, the center striker, was wrongly intercepted by Khyber Eagle goal-keeper Ghazanfar and referee Arshad signaled the spot in favour of Shinwari FC.
After taking 2-0 lead, Shinwari FC fully controlled the whole trend of the ball position and did not give much chance to Khyber Eagle to strike back. Thus Shinwari FC won the match by 2-0. Arshad, a FIFA referee, supervised the match while Amin Khan, Allowddin acted as deputy referee and Qazi Asif acted as Match Commissioner.
At the end of the final, PA Khyber Khalid Mehmood gave away trophies and cash prizes of Rs. 0.5 million to the winners and Rs. 0.3 million to the runners-up while Saqib was declared as best goal-keeper and was awarded Rs.
25000/- cash, Samad and Mansoor were jointly declared best scorers as both scored four goal each and was awarded Rs. 25000 while Hamza was declared as the most emerging and best player of the tournament and was awarded Rs. 25000. Fair play trophy was awarded to Kurrama Shaheen of Kurram Agency.
