Alastair Cook was 213 not out in the inaugural day/night Test in England after Dawid Malan (65) was dismissed off what became the last ball of the session when he edged off-spinner Roston Chase to Jermaine Blackwood at slip to end a stand of 162. This fixture, the 50th Test staged at Edgbaston, is the first of a three-match series.
