WELLINGTON, , (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jan, 2017 ) - Bangladesh lost the dangerous Tamim Iqbal when the rain cleared in Wellington and play on the opening day of the first Test against New Zealand resumed after lunch.

Tamim, who had shown scant regard for the bowler-friendly conditions, made 56 off 50 deliveries before he was trapped lbw by Trent Boult.

His innings included 11 fours, six of them off the New Zealand left-arm quick. Bangladesh were 87 for two in the afternoon session, with 40 minutes already lost to rain and further showers forecast for later in the day.
