British Tour hopeful Yates suffers broken pelvis

Paris, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Mar, 2018 ) :British Tour de France hope Adam Yates suffered a fractured pelvis in a crash at the Tour of Catalonia, his Australian team Mitchelton-Scott said on Thursday.

Yates, who was fourth at the Tour de France in 2016, came down heavily in the final kilometre of Wednesday's third stage in Catalonia, after which he underwent tests.

"He will take 10 days of complete rest before we conduct another X-ray to confirm the healing process.

At this point, pending results and pain levels, Adam can begin to ride again on the home trainer," said Mitchelton's head doctor Robbart van Limnschoten.
