Renowned TV and Radio artist Arsh-e-Munir was remembered on her 19th death anniversary across the country and all electronic and Radio channels paid homages to her.

Arsh-e-Munir was born in Lucknow, India. She was married to famous novelist and short story writer Shoukat Thanvi, who also wrote film story of "Gulnar" (1953).

She was a broadcaster on Radio Pakistan Karachi and acted in many dramas on TV.

She joined Radio Pakistan on his husband's insistence and started her career there. She came to Pakistan after the partition and attached with the Radio Pakistan as staff artist. She was awarded with the Presidential Pride of Performance in 1983 for her best performance in dramas . She died on September 8, 1998 in Karachi.
