Movie Review- Beauty and the Beast (2017)

Beauty and the Beast 2017 version is the remake of 1991 animated Disney classic. The movie revolves around a prince who was cursed because of his selfish nature to live as a beast as well as all of his castle members, who turned into clocks and candle stands and teapots and tea cups. Emma Watson plays the role of Belle, who is obsessed with books and is stuck in the castle with the cursed prince a.k.a beast and the castle members. The movie follows the 1991 animation to a raindrop, almost every scene and all our beloved Disney songs are the same as they were in a classic animated movie.

Some scenes and few songs are added with the modern theme but for the most part it maintains the original feel of the animated classics. The movie is as beautifully directed and its production design. All of the costumes and the sets are very glamorous and literally takes the audience to that time and era. The portrayal of the beast by the actor is also very beautifully played, very sympathetic but also arrogant. One thing different in the movie from its original classic was that in 1991 beast was cursed at a very early age, however in 2017 remake he was cursed as an adult, he retains his intellect and share this passion for reading with Belle.

The prevalence songs that we all grew up singing are still there and Emma Watson and the whole cast did a remarkable job performing them. Moreover, another character worth mentioning for his beautiful performance is Gaston by Luke Evans. Another reason this movie is a must-watch is the casting, which in on-point. Each actor portrayed their character remarkably. This live action adaptation of the animated movie is captured beautifully and yet again Disney have kicked it out of the park.
