Bhali Jatti Theater To Be Re-opened On Oct 15 At Lok Virsa

ISLAMABAD, Oct 9 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 09th Oct, 2017 ) :National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage (Lok Virsa) would re-open its rooftop theater as Bhali Jatti Theater on October 15.

Executive Director Lok Virsa Dr. Fouzia Saeed told APP that a musical evening titled 2nd Generation of the Great Masters woud also be held in the opening ceremony of Bhali Jatti Theater.

Bhali Jatti was a renowned theater artist who spent her life promoting Punjabi folk theater.

She was the first women to own a travelling stage theater in the country. Lok Virsa also named halls on renowned folk artist of Sindh province Mahi Bhagi and legendary folk artist of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zarsanga. The artists community of twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi lauded Lok Virsa management for honoring renowned artist Bhali Jatti.
