Consensus on the name reached between KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and Opposition Leader Maulana Lutf ur Rehman
Peshawar (Pakistan Point News – 26th May, 2018) The caretaker chief minister for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has been decided.
According to media reports, Manzoor Afridi’s name has been finalized for the post of interim chief minister of KP province.
The consensus on the name was reached between KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and Opposition Leader Maulana Lutf ur Rehman on Saturday.
Manzoor Afridi is the brother of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Ayub Afridi and uncle of Javed Afridi.
The KP chief minister after reaching a consensus upon Manzoor Afridi’s name has given his approval as the province’s caretaker chief minister. PTI chairman Imran Khan also approved Afridi’s name for the post.
Sources said that a formal announcement regarding appointment of Manzoor Afridi as interim chief minister will soon be made.
