Zubair Chairs Meeting In Connection With Muharram Arrangements

Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair on Wednesday chaired a meeting in connection with the Muharram arrangnments
KARACHI, Sept 20 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Sep, 2017 ) : Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair on Wednesday chaired a meeting in connection with the Muharram arrangnments. It was stressed that fool proof security for the mourning processions, Majalis and places of worship be ensured besides cleanliness, provision of electricity, implementation of code of conduct, etc.
The meeting was attended by Director General Rangers Maj. Gen. Muhammad Saeed, IGP A. D. Khawaja, Mayor Karachi, Wasim Akhtar, Special Secretary Home, CPLC chief and ulema from various schools of thought.
The governor said islam was a religion of peace and brotherhood and foster amity and tolerance. He pointed out that the Ulema had always extended cooperation towards maintenance of peace and fostering sectarian harmony.
Zubair also lauded the contributions of the personnel of law enforcement agencies (LEAs) for the cause of peace and ensuring law and order. Concerted efforts should be made to ensure that peaceful conditions were maintained.
He said through Zarb Azb under the national action plan, terrorism had been checked and the remaining terrorists were on the run and would not find any place to hide. The governor said the government with the collaboration of Ulema, was ensuring foolproof security measures.
He also urged the K-Electric management to ensure smooth electricity supply. DG Rangers and IGP said the LEAs would ensure implementation of code of conduct issued by the government and concerted efforts would be made for the maintenance of law and order.
