War On Terror To Continue Till End Of Last Terrorist: Lt. Gen. Riaz

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st july,2016) : Commander Southern Command, Lt. General Aamir Riaz has said that war on terror would continue till the end of last terrorist and called upon tribesmen to play their due role in the efforts being made to make Balochistan, a peaceful province. The Commander said this on Thursday while addressing a tribal Jirga in Zhob which was attended by tribal chiefs and elders from Pashtoon and Baloch tribes.
Garrison Commander, Maj. General Abid Lateef and senior military officials were also present on the occasion. The Commander Southern Command was accorded a warm welcome by wearing him a traditional tribal turban by the tribal elders upon his arrival in the event at Zhob.
Addressing the tribal elders, Lt.
General Aamir Riaz said, "In the scenario of current situation, it is need of the hour to promote harmony and brotherhood and to make joint efforts against the anti-peace elements".
He said that tribesmen always supported security forces to strengthen the defense of the country at borders and "We are proud of tribesmen of Pashtoon and Baloch tribes who lost their lives to make the defense of Pakistan stronger".
He said that tribesmen should also play their due role in the war on terror aimed at making Balochistan a peaceful and economically thriving province. He said that the Army, security forces and tribes would continue their role in achieving progress and prosperity of the country.
