'Transparent Elections Of AJK Assembly Success Of Democracy'

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22th july, 2016) : Transparent general election for AJK legislative assembly is success of a democratic process and winners of the polls deserve congratulations. Jamiat Ulema Pakistan (JUP) central president Pir Ijaz Hashmi said this while talking to newsmen at the Allama Iqbal International Airport here on Friday. He gave credit to Election Commission of AJK for holding transparent elections. Commenting on the results of the election, he said "win or lose in elections is part of the democracy." "Now there is a need to work with a spirit of national solidarity to send message across the border that all political parties are united and Kashmir cause is top priority of Pakistan", he said.
Pir Ijaz Hashmi expressed hope that newly elected members of the Legislative Assembly would perform their duties with dedication and highlight the Kashmir issue at different forums with new zeal. He said that Kashmiris had rendered numerous sacrifices for their rights and the world community should take notice of violation of human rights by committed by Indian forces in the Indian held Kashmir.
