Telefilm Project Peshawar To Help Highlight Historical, Culture Sites Of City

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Aug, 2017 ) : The multi-lingual international telefilm- Project Peshawar has truly highlighted the talent of youth and their quest for innovation and education and promoted the cultural and historical sites of the city.
Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (TCKP) Managing Director Mushtaq Ahmed Khan Friday said that sponsoring the Project Peshawar film at the lone venue for cultural activities � Nishtar Hall � in the City was aimed at supporting the youth and promoting and highlighting the heritage sites of the City.
He said the TCKP would continue its efforts to explore and exploit the talent of youth and promote tourism opportunities in the province. The official said that the premiere show of the multi-lingual international telefilm Project Peshawar will be held at Nishtar Hall at 7.00 pm today (Saturday).
After the premier show, he said, the film would be exhibited in film festivals in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Holland. He said it will be a family event, which is being organized by Jeans Films and sponsored by the TCKP.
The entry for the families would be on passes. The interested families have been asked to contact Waqar Ahmad on cell number 0333-9307384 to acquire passes before entry into the hall.
The film produced in four languages � urdu, Pashto, Dutch and English � is a unique blend of eastern and western cultures highlighting the negative side of the modern-day social media boom.
The Project Peshawar film also highlights the historic places of the city at national and international levels besides showcasing the talent of the Peshawar-based actors, directors and producers.
The story of Project Peshawar is based on real life incidents and full of thrill and suspense. The film revolves around a London-based character, who falls in love with a girl from Peshawar through the internet.
And when he travels here he discovers that it was only a trap to kidnap him. Shoaib Lodin, a lead actor and consultant producer of the film is an Afghani-Dutch citizen who left Peshawar back in 1997.
He is a graduate of the Anupam Kher Acting Institute in film making and tv serials. Irshu Bangash is the film director, who has been associated with the music field for the last 15 years. Junaid Kamran Siddique is the writer and producer, while the cast include Navishta Sahar, Sally Ingry, Moiez Mohmand, Mihela Bursc, Arbab Izhar Ahmad, James Ryan, Mustafa Khan and Mariyam Dilawar Jan.
Artistes Sajid, Zeeshan, Khumariyaan and others have recorded songs for the film.
