Standing Committee Recommends Complete Ban On Sheesha Smoking

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Nov, 2017 ) :A meeting of the Sindh Assembly Standing Committee on home held at Assembly building here on Tuesday to consider the government bill - the Sindh Prohibition of Sheesha Smoking.
According to a statement issued here, the meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Standing Committee MPA Awais Qadir Shah along with Law Minister Zia-Ul-Hassan Lanjar, Mohammad Ali Bhutto MPA, Sumeta Afzal MPA, Ghulam Qadir Chandio MPA, Saleem Rajpoot MPA, Dr Abuja dad Dahri MPA, Secretary Law Special Secretary Health, Secretary Sindh Assembly and other officers.
The committee has decided to recommend complete ban on import and usage of flavored and none flavored smoking Sheesha on the directives of Supreme Court. Minister Law and Prisons Sindh Zia-Ul-Hasan Lanjar said that other provinces had already imposed ban on Sheesha on judgment of the apex court so our standing committee has recommended complete ban on Sheesha smoking from today with consensus and the bill will be sent for legislation to the assembly and then it will be implemented across the province completely.
