Six Plots Allotted For Mosques In Islamabad Capital Territory: National Assembly Told

Federal Minister for Housing and Works Akram Khan Durrani Tuesday said the ministry had allotted six plots for the construction of mosques in the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT)
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Feb, 2018 ) :Federal Minister for Housing and Works Akram Khan Durrani Tuesday said the ministry had allotted six plots for the construction of mosques in the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).
Speaking in the National Assembly, he said fake news were being circulated in the electronic, print and social media about the corruption in the housing ministry without proper information and investigation.
The minister said the case regarding allotments of said plots was also in the court. He said Ministry of Housing and Works had first time formulated a policy for allotment of plots to mosques under which the ministry after allotment of plots would also establish mosques.
After completing the construction process, he said an advertisement would be published in newspapers for the appointment of Ulema on merit for performing duties in those mosques. The Ulema of all school of thoughts would be able to apply for those mosques, he said adding that a committee would select Imams for those mosques.
A campaign was being run in the media to malign the politicians which should be stopped, he added.
