Shutdown In Islamabad, Kulgam Observed

Complete shutdown was observed in South Kashmir districts of Islamabad and Kulgam to mourn the killings of two youth Farheen Ahmad Wani and Khalid Ahmad Dar by Indian forces

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Jan, 2018 ) :Complete shutdown was observed in South Kashmir districts of Islamabad and Kulgam to mourn the killings of two youth Farheen Ahmad Wani and Khalid Ahmad Dar by Indian forces.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the troops killed Farheen Ahmad Wani during a cordon and search operation in Kokernag area of Islamabad district on Monday.

His killing triggered protesters in his native area of Khudwani in Kulgam district resulting in clashes.

The clashes resulted in injuries to many including Khalid Ahmad Dar, a final year student who later succumbed to his injuries. All shops and business establishments were closed and traffic was off the road in the Islamabad and Kulgam districts.
